Drive Journal is a complete solution for keeping track of your vehicles trips, fuel economy and service expenses.

* Smart: it learns the visited locations, and tries to fill as much information as possible automatically. This minimizes the required user input.

* Simple: It is designed to be user friendly, easy to use.

* Beautiful: It has a beautiful user interface, which is a pleasure to use. Full retina display support.

=== Features ===

• Mileage log with waypoints
• Fuel log
• Service log
• Export reports as HTML or CSV formats
• Supports multiple vehicles
• Fuel economy graph
• Dark and Light themes

Note: The application needs to learn to locations and distances first. So the first trip between locations requires manual end odometer input. Currently it doesnt use GPS for continuous tracking.

Latest reviews of Drive Journal app for iPhone and iPad

If I could rate lower I would.
First off, The app looks good, But thats it. It looks like it has potential but as of right now I feel like I wasted my money. Things I like: I like how it looks. I like the idea of keeping records of my car in one place. Detail records. I like the interface. I like how it keeps logs of any maintenance you do to it. I like the feature about recording every time you fill up but it dies ask for to much input. Things I dont like: I dont like the price I paid or what I got. U must enter odometer milage every time u start and end a trip. This can get annoying. I dont like how the app cant run in the background. If I start a trip and I switch over to my iPod and switch back the app has crashed and everything was lost. To sum it up. I wish I hadnt spend my money on this app. I could easily write when I do oil changes on my note app on my phone. This is just a fancy looking way to do it thats not with they money I recommend staying away from this app unless u feel like spending $6 on something u can do for free on ur notes app.
I like it
Its great for recording expenses and yes I can do it on a notepad. Notepads dont organize the report for me. Yes there is room for improvement (hence 4 stars) such as working in background. Overall, this app has made a task simpler, easier and less a nuisance. Im fine with that.
RE: No longer working after update
App no longer works after update. It opens then immediately closes. I have iPhone 4s. This is what I did to fix this issue and recover my data, it then crashed after an entry. At least I got my data. Go to your device, apps and file sharing documents for Drive Journal. You will see three files. Do a save as to your deskop and put them in a folder. Make sure you have saved these three documents into a folder before you go to the next step. Now, delete the app from your phone and synch. Reinstall the new version of the app and then synch. Now go back to apps and file sharing documents for Drive Journal. Click add and select the three documents you just copied to your Drive Journal folder on your desktop. When it asks, overwright, click yes. Now synch your phone. This worked for me and installed all of my records into the new version.
Not worth it
I originally gave this app two stars. It now crashes, and is completely unusable, after the last update. I think the developer of this app should refund everyones money! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Not at all worth $6. This is basically an over-glamorized pencil and pad of paper. Its overly-complicated, compared to what it actually does. For whatever reason, I thought that the app would use GPS to track you along your "trip," and then log your milage at the end. Not at all. It only logs a trip with you entering the beginning and ending odometer reading. There are a dozen free apps that already do that. Maybe thats my fault for assuming it did something it doesnt. The appearance is alright. I gave it one extra star for that. But, its in no way worth $6. This is proof-positive why all app designers should release a free "Lite" version of their product before making people purchase the full, more expensive version. Again, my fault for taking the gamble……
